A Retro-Modern Quilt – Boardwalk Pattern
I worked on this retro-modern quilt back in December, it is a very easy pattern to put together over a weekend. I found this beautiful fabric at a local quilt shop and I wanted to do a bold exciting quilt. By now, you can tell I am in love with all of Allison Harris’ patterns over at CluckCluckSew. Check out her wonderful patters here.
I pieced this quilt over a weekend and sent it off to Melissa over at Sew Shabby Quilting. If you are in Utah, you should work with Melissa to do your long arm machine quilting. She is incredible and has an eye for helping you pick out the exact pattern for your quilt.
This is a very bright and fun quilt. I love the retro fabric and my favorite print is the Alarm Clocks.
I made an error cutting the fabric for the back of my quilt. Luckily this pattern provides some extra pieces for the front of quilt. I took those pieces and made a strip to go across the width of my quilt. I then added a blue border in the same fabric as my binding to make the back big enough.
