Prepping the “To the Point” Quilt for Machine Quilting
I am finally ready to machine quilt the top of the ‘To the Point’ quilt I started last month. I love Machine Quilting on my “Nina”. The BSR (Bernina Stitch Requlator) makes the process very easy. I am still a beginner, but I love moving the fabric around as I watch the design unfold.
I ran out of basting spray so I had to resort to pinning the rest of the quilt sandwich. I love how the basting spray holds all three layers together without movement of the fabric. I have not perfected the pinning technique yet and always end up with one or two puckers on the back. Usually in the middle of the quilt back.
I want to try some double loops throughout the quilt. I have practiced drawing on paper as suggested by Melissa from Sew Shabby Quilting. I hope it helps, I guess we will see how it finishes up.
