It takes a village
I have cut out the fabric for another quilt. This quilt should piece together quickly. I love this fabric, it is Glimma by Lotta Jansdotter for Windham fabrics. I found the fat quarter bundle over at Westwood Acres Fabric. This shop has wonderful bundles of fabric and has a quick turnaround.
This is my first quilt pattern repeat. I have so many quilts that i want to make that I haven’t had to redo the same pattern more than once. I love this Suburbs pattern by CluckCluckSew, it isn’t a busy pattern and allows me to show off bigger pieces of the different fabrics.
My favorite fabric pattern from this fabric line is the pink trees. I am not a fan of pink, of course I love the different shades of blue in this fabric line, but I know the individual that will eventually own this quilt likes pink.
Here are the houses without the roofs on. That will be a quick add and then it will be fun to sew the rows together and see the quilt start to take shape. It looks like a little village laying out on my floor as I start to design the layout, almost like a little village quilt pattern.
